TDA engineers have supported the certification of VIP interiors on multiple aircraft including small business jets up to Boeing 747 aircraft through various FAA ACOs. Our experience has shown that the FAA prefers a consistent analysis methodology for structural certification and we will ensure a common substantiation approach is used throughout all analyses and testing. TDA engineers will coordinate all substantiation effort (analysis, testing and certification of monuments and aircraft structural modifications) with the Certification Manager, DERs, FAA and sub-contractors as required to ensure a complete substantiation package for the entire modification.

TDA engineers have many years experience in the design of aircraft modifications and repairs. TDA offers structural, interior, mechanical systems and electrical engineering designs. TDA engineers will serve as liaison engineers during the fabrication of monuments and aircraft modification or provide stress support to liaison engineering.



TDA will perform stress analysis of interior monuments and aircraft modifications required for their installation. Analyses will be performed using either classical hand solution methods or Finite Element Analysis (FEA) as well as FEA model validation.


TDA will prepare test plans and reports for full scale monument testing as well as material and joint allowable testing. TDA can even handle the actual testing if needed. In addition we will prepare test plans and reports for door strike failure and blow out panel testing to verify compliance with decompression requirements. Mechanical Systems (water, waste, equipment cooling, functional checks, etc) test plans and Electrical tests and procedures are also offered by TDA engineers.

TDA engineers have experience in weight and balance reports and weight control programs on a myriad of aircraft. We will provide an on-going analysis of the effect of the modification on the weight and center of gravity (CG) of the aircraft. In addition we can implement a weight control program, coordinating the stress analysis of the monuments with the weigh calculations to ensure the weight of each monument has been optimized.

TDA engineers will prepare flammability test plans, coordinate with the DER and the FAA to obtain approval and prepare the test report upon completion of the testing. Our engineers have experience in the entire process involved in flammability testing; from identification of the coupons required, fabrication of the coupons, conformity inspection and testing.
